The Troop decided they wanted to go back to Belchamps for the Winter Activity Camp.  Last year we took twelve Scouts, this year we had sixteen, including six girl Scouts!

This year it turned out to be a proper winter camp with sunny days and cold nights.  It was much colder than last year.  Saturday night the temperature fell to -7o C but everyone stayed under canvas all weekend!

We ran a Pocket Knife, Saw and Hand Axe course for the Scouts so they could gain their certificate.

The BMX Course was very popular . . . .

but because of the cold weather this was the most popular activity . . . .

The Blanket Badge

 . . . . . and this was the most popular Scout!

There was a vast selection of activities to take part in or try out.  Our favourite new activity was the Underground Maze.

Does my bum look big in this cave?

On Sunday afternoon there was a closing ceremony in the campfire circle and afterwards we were glad to be on our way back to our central heating!

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers.

Thanks guys for taking us!

See You Next Year!!
