Belchamps is 30 acres of pasture and woodland, adjacent to 360 acres of public woodland in Hawkwell, near Hockley, Essex.

We arrived on Saturday to find a nearly full campsite. We were camping on sites Nursery 1 & 2 which are in the south-west corner of the site, nearest the woodland.

We had a quick lunch and set up camp.

Fast forward to Sunday morning and the volleyball competition which we WON!!

On Monday the older Scouts went off for their Expedition Award . . . . it rained ALL day!

In the afternoon we played some patrol activities like 'Treasure Hunt' and 'Fox & Chickens'

During the week we took part in a lot of on-site activities like Archery, Assault Course, Climbing, Go-Karts, and the Laser and Gat Guns.

On Wednesday we went to Southend for the day where we walked to the end of the Pier and then had a crazy golf competition.

We did some pioneering and built a Teepee, some of the boys slept in it one night.

We had a great camp, the weather was a bit mixed but it didn't stop us enjoying ourselves and we even think the leaders had fun!

Our boys say "HELLO" to the Guides who played a great game of Bucket Raid with us.
And just to prove it's a small world who did the leaders meet during their day at EUROJAM - those same Guides!!
